HYSA Presidents Letter

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to Holliston Youth Soccer! I wanted thank our 180 or so volunteers that coach, coordinate, or run Shamrock Ball, and Spookerfest. HYSA could not run without you and your countless hours of making our program what it is today.

This past summer HYSA added a chain link fence around the perimeter of the turf complex at Marshall Street, so that soccer balls don’t sneak under the netting. Reduced play and additional care on Fields 1 and 4 grass, has brought them back to life.

Picture Day has been scheduled for September 29th. We will have more news on order forms and schedules shortly.

The annual HYSA Calendar Raffle has been moved one month to November. HYSA will start distribution of raffle tickets to sell, in late September, and will be due by October 20th. We are hoping the longer period of time will allow for more ticket sales. We are requesting that players try to sell at least five tickets each to assist us in purchasing field equipment (nets and goals), balls and equipment for the clinic program and of course assist with Marshall Street maintenance. I thank you all in advance for your support of the Calendar raffle and best of luck in winning. Winners will be posted on the Holliston Soccer website (www.hollistonsoccer.org).

Our annual intramural soccer tournament, “Spookerfest”, will be held Saturday October 27rd at Marshall Street. As most of you know we have hosted this tournament for many years for the Clinic through U10 players. Our Spookerfest Director Jen Burke will have more details for this fun-filled tournament. Jen will need some volunteers to help coordinate, so if you are thinking of doing something to help out, please consider helping Jen coordinate the tournament.

Thank you all for participating in HYSA and enjoy the fall season.
