Policy on Coaching Certifications

HYSA is committed to and encourages the development and continuing education of our coaching staff. We support both the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) license/certification programs. Coaches who participate in a certification/licensure program will be reimbursed for the cost of the course upon successful completion. After a coach has participated in the course, they must send a copy of their certificate/license with a receipt for the amount of the course to the HYSA Treasurer and they will be reimbursed.Reimbursement will be available for USSF licenses/certificates G through D and USSF Non-Residential courses; State, Regional, and Advanced Regional. See USSF, through Mass Youth Soccer, and NSCAA for their respective course descriptions and offerings. No reimbursement for travel related expenses.Only active HYSA travel and intramural coaches are eligible for reimbursement. For courses above USSF D and NSCAA Advanced Regional, including Special Topics, Residential programs, conventions, etc. coaches will need HYSA BOD written approval prior to registering for the course to be reimbursed. HYSA expects that coaches who take advantage of these courses continue to coach in the program for another year.
